public sector behavioral health contracts in more than 10 states. ValueOptions
is the largest private supplier of behavioral health services in the Public
Sector.
Magellan Health Services
Chief Information Officer & Executive Vice President of Specialty Products
& Employer Solutions
Responsible for all IT strategy, operations, systems development, and data
analysis. IT budget of approximately $100 million annually with more than 600
people in the department. Concurrently served as EVP of Specialty Products Group
and EVP of Employer Solutions, overseeing new product development including
Behavioral Health Disease Management, Pharmacy Management, and Weight Management.

Responsible for $4 billion in revenue, 2 million members, and 800+ employees in
a geographic region from Philadelphia to South Carolina. Full responsibility for
profit and loss, marketing and sales, provider network contracting, and
strategic plans.

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Co-founded this Internet broker of health and related insurance plans providing
an open exchange for the selection, comparison, and purchase of insurance
products. Responsible for strategic plans, technology, and all operations.
New York Life โ NYLCare Health Plans
President and Chief Executive Officer, Mid-Atlantic
Responsible for a $750+ million per year managed care company with more than
550,000 members. Full profit and loss responsibility for HMO, PPO, and
traditional health insurance operations for Maryland, Virginia, and Washington,
DC. NYLCare was acquired by Aetna in July 1998.
SkyTel
Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for the start-up and direction of operations of the first nationwide
satellite-based messaging network.
Informatics General Corporation
Group Vice President
Profit and loss responsibility for a $53 million operating unit. Grew the
business from $4 million (1977) to $53 million (1985). The Group consisted of
two divisions with 350 professional staff employees nationwide.
